What is Lokta Paper?

Lokta paper is a natural, eco-friendly paper handmade in Nepal from the bark of the Daphne plant, which grows in the Himalayan forests and naturally regenerates after harvesting - meaning no trees are cut down.

The bark is hand-pulped, set into sheets using wooden frames and dried in the sun. The result is a paper that is:
