It honestly feels like such a short time ago I was sitting down to write last May’s blog… and yet here we are again, on the cusp of another summer. There’s something about May that always brings a quiet sense of reflection for me — a reminder of how quickly time moves, but also how much can grow in a year.
This past year with Lilypod has been just that — growth. Not always loud or obvious, but steady, meaningful, and rooted in connection. From returning to local markets and seeing familiar faces, to meeting so many new customers discovering Lilypod for the first time, it’s been a season of real, human moments. The kind that remind me why I started this in the first place.
There’s something so special about watching someone pick up a product, breathe it in, and instantly soften. Those little pauses — that’s what Lilypod is all about.
One of the things I’ve loved most over the past few months has been introducing new scents and essentials at markets and hearing your feedback in real time. Some products quietly become favourites before they even make it onto the website — which is exactly what happened with our Spearmint Essential Oil. After such a lovely response in person, it’s now finally available online, which feels like a small but meaningful milestone.
May itself always feels like a reset. The longer days, the fresh air, everything starting to bloom again — it naturally draws us back into routines that feel a bit lighter, a bit more intentional. It’s a perfect time to bring small rituals into your day, whether that’s a calming shower steamer in the morning, a moment with your favourite wax melt in the evening, or simply taking a breath and slowing down.
Running Lilypod alongside family life continues to be a balancing act, but one I’m so grateful for. This business was born in a season of change, and it continues to evolve in step with life — which makes it all the more personal.
As we move into the summer months, I’m excited to keep building on what’s been growing quietly behind the scenes — more products, more market days, and more ways to bring a little calm into your everyday.
